RecaldentTM is derived from casein, a milk protein. Recent studies have shown that the effect of milk protein lies in the part of the casein protein called phosphopeptide (CPP), which contains calcium and phosphate ions in amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP). Calcium phosphate is insoluble; in other words, it forms a pH-neutral crystalline structure. CPP maintains calcium and phosphate in an amorphous, non-crystalline form – the same as the mineral components of saliva. This means that the CPP – ACP complex or RecaldentTM suppresses enamel demineralization and, even more, remineralizes the enamel.
Remineralizing dental foam MI Fluora has the same effect and great taste as Dental Foam! In addition, this product optimizes the delivery of fluoride to the enamel and its absorption.
